ENHANCED PORTABLE
3D SCANNERS
Creaform has announced advance-
ments to its HandySCAN 3D™|MAX
Series of portable 3D scanners, including
improved volumetric accuracy for large
parts, enhanced measurement feedback,
and optimized software performance.
Building on the HandySCAN
3D lineup, the MAX Series delivers
metrology-grade measurements in
minutes for large and complex parts,
producing accurate 3D scans without
surface preparation. It is ideal for profes-
sionals in industries such as mining,
transportation, energy, and heavy
manufacturing.
With new algorithms, the updated
series achieves accredited volumetric
accuracy of up to 0.075 mm +
0.010 mm/m—over 30% more accurate
on a 5 m part. Features like target acqui-
sition mode, enhanced target quality
indicators, and a deviation table improve
feedback, boosting speed, portability,
and ease of use.
Key features and benefits include:
Ñ Enhanced accuracy: Up to
0.075 mm +0.010 mm/m, the
highest for handheld devices.
Ñ Versatility: Measures any part size,
shape, complexity, or finish.
Ñ Large scanning area: Covers up to
2.0 m × 2.4 m (6.6 ft × 7.9 ft).
Ñ Wide part size range: Handles 1 m
to 15 m (3.3 ft to 49.2 ft).
Ñ Measurement feedback: Includes
target deviation data.
Ñ Scale bar mode: Depth of field from
0.3 m to 2.5 m.

CT SCANNING SYSTEM
The X3000 Industrial
CT Scanning System
is an excellent
option for customers
needing a compact
system with capabili-
ties that are typically
found only in larger
X-ray or CT systems.
This versatile system
is designed to
inspect both small
and large compo-
nents effectively. Applications of the X3000 system include product quality compliance,
assembly verification, internal and external measurements, 2D and 3D metrology, failure
and density analysis, finite element analysis, void and porosity detection, weld and braze
quality assessment, 3D CAD comparisons, and more. Our team of experts is available to
help you configure the system to meet your specific application needs.

SOFTWARE UPDATE:
CAPTURE 5.0™
The latest Capture update from Eddyfi
Technologies introduces a redesigned,
user-friendly interface that combines
intuitive navigation with robust function-
ality. Capture is the streamlined software
embedded in Gekko® and Mantis™
portable flaw detectors, also available for
PC, and on the Panther™ desktop solu-
tion. It supports conventional ultrasonic
testing (UT), phased array UT (PAUT),
time of flight diffraction (TOFD), total
focusing method (TFM), and adaptive
total focusing method (ATFM).
With dual TFM and TOFD capabilities,
Capture 5.0 sets a new benchmark for
weld inspections, enabling simultaneous
high-resolution imaging and precise
defect sizing. Configurable for up to four
TFM and TOFD groups, it offers excep-
tional flexibility for diverse inspection
challenges. Enhanced firing sequences
and live displays deliver faster scans
without compromising data quality.
Capture 5.0 features a standardized
color scheme and an always-accessible
screenshot manager to streamline work-
flows. Optimized menus provide quick
access to critical functions. Connectivity
improvements include Wi-Fi integration
and OneDrive compatibility, simpli-
fying data sharing and management.
Advanced visualization options—Max,
Mean, and Multiple algorithms—improve
flaw detection and noise reduction, while
faster 3D, top, and side views enhance
analysis. Refined controls, such as Auto
Reference buttons and keyboard short-
cuts, ensure precision and efficiency.
