ASNT FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES
2025 RECIPIENTS
The ASNT Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s scholar-
ships, grants, and fellowships. During this funding cycle, the Foundation gave a total
of US$156 500 to 38 recipients. The Foundation is honored to invest in the advance-
ment of education and research in nondestructive testing/evaluation (NDT/E)
through this annual program. Those interested in applying for funding may learn

CHARLES HELLIER III
SCHOLARSHIP
The Charles Hellier III Scholarship, estab-
lished in honor of NDT pioneer Charles
Hellier III, is a US$10 000 scholarship
that provides education expense assis-
tance to individuals who are enrolled
or seeking enrollment in NDT training
courses at any accredited school or tech-
nical training organization. The recipient
of the 2025 Charles Hellier III Scholarship
is Makayla “Mak” Galler.
ENGINEERING
UNDERGRADUATE
SCHOLARSHIP
The Engineering Undergraduate
Scholarship is a US$3000 scholarship
that provides an incentive to undergrad-
uate students enrolled in universities and
colleges with recognized engineering
programs to choose NDT/E as their field
of specialization. The winners of the 2025
Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship
are Max Fieber, Emiliana Gierke, and
Brooke Lastinger.
ASNT FOUNDATION
FELLOWSHIP
The ASNT Foundation Fellowship
provides financial support of high-quality
research activities in science and tech-
nology at the graduate level (MS or
PhD candidates). The recipients of the
2025 ASNT Foundation Fellowship are

graduate students who are enrolled or
seeking enrollment in NDT education
courses at any accredited college or
university, serving as a valuable incentive
for their academic pursuits. The recipient
of the 2025 James J. Treat Scholarship is
Josie Gunter.
ROBERT B. OLIVER
SCHOLARSHIP
The Robert B. Oliver Scholarship—
dedicated to honoring the contribu-
tions of Robert B. Oliver, a prominent
figure in the field of NDT—is a US$2500
scholarship to support students who
are pursuing studies in NDT or related
disciplines in an associate degree or
certificate program. The recipients of the
2025 Robert B. Oliver Scholarship are
Blessing Ekure, James Maloney, and
Judson Martin.
STUDENT TRAVEL
GRANT
The Student Travel Grant reimbursement
serves to provide an incentive to full-time
students to attend the ASNT Research
Symposium by providing reimburse-
ment for qualified travel expenses. The
winners of the 2025 Student Travel Grant
are Pedram Bazrafshan, Olivia Cook,
Aqeel Fadhil, Jicen Hu, Haley Jones,
Clayton Malone, Pouria Meshki Zadeh,
Trent Moritz, Lovejoy Mutswatiwa,
