SEEKING CONTRIBUTORS
FOR NDT TUTORIALS
Materials Evaluation is currently soliciting contributors for NDT
Tutorials. NDT Tutorials can introduce a new topic or provide a
refresher of a well-known topic to the NDT community. Topics may
cover any aspects of NDT, ranging from general industry practice,
technique, or method to an emerging technology or innovative
research that would potentially benefit the field in the future.
An NDT Tutorial article should be written such that it is easily under-
standable to the general audience in the NDT community without prior
knowledge of the subject. It may be assumed that the majority of the
audience has a background knowledge of science subjects covered in
high school curriculums.
Author Benefits:
Pride of contribution to ASNT’s mission to create a safer
world and achieve personal continuous development at the
same time.
The author receives three recertification points toward ASNT
NDT Level III certification renewal for each NDT Tutorial article.
Reviewers and editors from ASNT will help improve the technical
writing in the article.
Publicity of personal contribution to NDT improves
personal career development.
Materials Evaluation reaches 13 500+ ASNT members as well
as a broad readership community online.
NDT Tutorials are assigned a DOI number, which is a permanent
digital ID, making it easy to search for and link to the article online.
The author may share the finished PDF of the article within their
affiliated organization’s intranet.
The article may be republished on ASNT’s blog, ASNT Pulse.
Publicity of contribution helps to improve the profile of
the author’s affiliated organization.
Preparation Guidelines:
Word count should be between 1500 and 3000.
Include an abstract or introduction to the subject.
All measurements should be given in SI format (with English
equivalent in parentheses if desired).
Total number of figures and tables should be no more than 10.
Number of references cited should be between 3 and 10.

cant content for the article should be listed as a coauthor.
