On 29 October,
Novosound
(Glasgow,
Scotland)
announced that
it had appointed
John Cameron
as Executive Director to lead its indus-
trial business and accelerate the global
commercialization of the company’s
Ceilidh platform, a real-time ultrasound
solution for asset integrity and corrosion
monitoring in the energy and infrastruc-
ture sectors.
Cameron brings more than 30 years
of international leadership experience
in scaling industrial and technology
companies. As CEO of CB Technology,
he oversaw a five-fold increase in revenue
and a successful private-equity exit.
His earlier career includes senior roles
at General Electric, Sabic, and Marioff,
where he consistently drove interna-
tional expansion and major industry
partnerships.
Novosound’s patented ultrasound
sensors and AI-powered instrumentation
enable continuous, remote monitoring
of critical assets. The Ceilidh platform—
featuring its multisensor Spider arrays—
provides earlier detection of corrosion,
cracking, and erosion while reducing
downtime and manual inspections.
High Temperature
Material Systems
(HTMS)—a UK
company devel-
oping a new
class of advanced
composite mate-
rials—appointed innovation specialist
Annalisa Gigante as Chair in November.
Gigante brings extensive experience
in moving research into practical appli-
cation. She has held senior positions in
global organizations across life sciences,
chemicals, and digital technologies, and
has led the launch and growth of large-
scale businesses. An Italian national
based in Switzerland, she also serves as
Vice Chair of the Henry Royce Institute
for advanced materials research and a
Non-Executive Director of Cambridge
Enterprise.
HTMS, which has operations in
Bristol and Leamington Spa, specializes
in ceramic matrix composites (CMC).
Gigante’s appointment follows HTMS’s
recent £1.3 million funding round.
Fulkrum, a global
provider of
inspection, expe-
diting, auditing,
and technical
staffing services,
appointed Ben
Lumley as Global Head of Integrity
following the expansion of its Asset
Integrity Division last October. The move
supports the company’s broader strategy
to strengthen and scale its integrity
management capabilities.
While asset integrity work has long
been part of Fulkrum’s services, estab-
lishing a standalone division allows the
company to expand capacity and refine
its approach for asset-intensive industries.
Lumley, a Chartered Engineer with more
than 16 years of international experience
in asset integrity, inspection, and nonde-
structive testing (NDT), will lead the divi-
sion from Abu Dhabi. His background
includes multiple API certifications
and leadership roles within ISO 17020–
accredited inspection bodies.
The division’s services include risk-
based inspection planning, corro-
sion management, field diagnostics,
advanced NDT, drone and robotic
inspections, and full lifecycle asset
support. Operations will focus on the
Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the
Americas, with activity also beginning in
Latin America.
