A built-in Ethernet port allows it to act as a Modbus TCP server to send data over the network. This product features mixed analog and digital inputs and outputs, which accept a variety of standard sensor and signal types including thermocouples, RTDs, voltage, and 0 to 20 mA current. It also has an RS-485 serial interface that allows it to be used as a slave device in Modbus RTU networks or as a gateway between Modbus TCP and Modbus 485. This ECA adaptable screening tool is specifically designed to maximize the detection of all types of cracks, such as stress-corrosion cracking (SCC), fatigue and chloride cracks, subsurface indications, and others, on pipelines, pipes, vessels, or tanks. It features a particularly high probability of detection, as well as speed and adaptive capabilities for a wide range of applications. With a scanning speed up to 600 mm/s (24 in./s) and 200 mm (8 in.) of coverage in a single pass, the operator can perform quicker inspections while ensuring optimal defect detection. Eddyfi Technologies, Québec, Canada eddyfi.com Eddy Current Flaw Detector The OKOndt Group LLC presents the 8-channel eddy current flaw detector, the ETS2-77. Eddy current application at the active face control and the railhead running surfaces allows inspectors to perform not only evaluation of the vertical damage depth but the localization of the areas with surface marks, transversal fatigue cracks, quenching cracks, active face delamination, and wheels sliding areas. The ETS2-77 allows users to evaluate the layer depth that shall be exposed to grinding, thus minimizing it and in turn extending the rail service life. OKOndt Group LLC, Rockville, Maryland okondt.com SPOTLIGHT w Eddy Current Equipment Eddy Current Probes Zetec Inc. has introduced the Surf-X™ family of eddy current array probes, with a flexible circuit design and proprietary X-PROBE™ coil technology that allow each probe to conform to a variety of materials, shapes, and geometries for inspection applications in manufacturing, aerospace, oil and gas, power generation, and more. Surf-X array probes feature interchangeable multiple coil sets that enable users in the field to change a coil set in less than a minute and adapt the probe to a range of materials and surface geometries. The probes offer a detachable encoder that can connect in multiple locations on both the handle and electronics module, providing versatility when it comes to dealing with different positions.
